I think a digital camera with a good macro lens is unbeatable for showing off herps via the internet. In fact, it will show you stuff that you cant even see with your own eyes unless you look REALLY hard.



As for your Rebel... I don't know for sure, but I'd bet a good macro lens for it would cost as much as my Olympus Camedia camera cost.



If you're a good photographer, your SLR is still gonna be best. If you're mediocre, like me, the Digital Camera will work better.



I've stopped using my Minolta 35mm. I just do better with digital.
