If you got them from a pet shop and you are sure they didn't die from fighting, then it's possible they had some sort of illness. If that's the case then you may find more dead soon. If this happens I would feed them off, thoroughly wash out the cages (disinfect) and purchase new breeders from a healthy source. Good luck.

They were just dead, not shredded by the other mice that I could tell, no blood at all. Just dead. They are set up with aspen shavings, food bowl with dogfood, and a water bottle. They are not old mice, but were small adults. Anyone have any ides? They are set up in my garage, which is anywhere between 65-80 degrees this time of year. I don't think its the temp, anyone have any theories?
