Ad wording in the classifieds - what are people really saying..

Scanning the kingsnake.com classifieds, I see alot of cliche phrases used time and time again. I've included the phrases and the meaning I get out of them:



Phrase: "Must sell"

Meaning: I'm not sure. Does this mean the seller thinks I will buy it now that he really has to sell it? Does it mean they will take offers lower than the asking price? Why don't they tell me what they want?



Phrase: "You can make your money back plus much more.."

Meaning: Then why is the seller selling if it is such a gold mine?



Phrase: "If the pair doesn't sell I'll just keep them and breed them myself.."

Meaning: Is the seller is mocking the potential buyer? Of course he'll be keeping them if they don't sell.



Phrase: "High-yellow.." (with no pic in the ad)

Meaning: Probably normals. If the animals were actually better-than-average, the seller would likely have a digi-cam and be posting pics like crazy. Pics=sales if your animals are nice.



Phrase: "I'm sure she will go next year.."

Meaning: She is too young to breed, but if you push her harder than you should..
