First they can malfunction and cook all your eggs and second mother nature warms up during the day and cools at night so why change that process. The average temperature of the earth where most cham eggs are deposited is between 68F-74F. We have had great success with just putting them half buried in a mixture of vermiculite/perlite and placing them in a dark closet that averages between those two temps during the day.
