I agree they smell when they are "fresh." LOL! I just let them dry and try not to disturb it until then and then I remove with forceps (easy pickin's) between cleaning days. There were a couple of recent threads on this very subject...The smell of cham poo!

It's a relatively easy clean-up if it is dried. But, just last week I did step in one prior to drying and it made a mess. Yuck!
