For me personally

For me it's always been a decision on whether the snakes are pets/display animals or stock.



If they are stock, I see no need for anything other than an appropriate sized rubbermade container. If they are to be display animals then the fish tanks and commercial containers seem like the way to go.



Money can be a factor, I understand, but, if they are pets, you can save up and get good looking housing as your budget allows. Many of the site sponsors sell nice stackable cages.
