Sunday and has taken more frequent dips into his water bowl as well as checkin out the top part of the cage more often.

Do you have an under-tank heater? If so, is it possible that it is too hot? Just the fact that it is spending more time in the water and off the bottom of the tank makes me wonder.

Another question/possibillity..

Did you change substrates? I had one that was stressed for almost two weeks when I changed it's substrate. Twitched every time it touched the aspen and refused to eat.

It's fine now.
