What are the temps on the bottom of the cage?

the air temp really doesn' t have a lot to do with snakes, unless it is really, really hot or cold. Get a good thermometer and check it out. Put the thermometer directly on the substrate both on the hot side and then on the cooler side. How old is your snake? You also might want to check it for mites, as they can really aggravate a snake and make it want to soak.
