I've kept four over these over the years. Hopefully I'll work with them again someday.



I've only worked with the bronze colored specimens, never the blacks. My specimens would climb if perches were offered but also seemed to do fine without it.



I'm not sure if I understand your dimensions. Are you thinking about using the same box as with your BP's?



If those are the large Sterilite boxes in your rack I think that will be an absolute minimum for D'alberts. Something like the Iris CB-110 would be slightly better.



If you want to provide a deeper (taller) box you could try the Sterilite #1849. On their website it is only listed as being solid colored but I have seen a clear #1849 in Walmart. I'll include a link to the solid colored box.



If you can only get the solid colored boxes you can route out a section of one of the walls and cover it with screen or a piece of acrylic. You'd end up with something similar to the Freedom Breeder boxes that have windows.



Here's a picture of a rack I built to quarantine a group of Gonyosoma. I did end up housing a large male D'alberts in this rack later on. The floor area of these boxes is only 28" x 14" which was much too small.



I added perches and also put his water bowl on top of his hide box. That freed up some floor space where the water bowl normally went and the perches added some more surface area.



He actually started doing better in this cage but I still think he needed more space.
