FES are messy (as you know), you can't just clean calci-sand. It's expenseive. I would stick with the turf, but consider it disposable. Go to your local Home store and buy a roll of it and cut it into pieces that fit your tank. After a few rinses, throw each piece away and use a new one. This will save you money, and it looks OK. Use the money you saved to buy some real plants (Pothos, sanservieria etc...)and moss to make up for the lack of "naturalistic-ness" that comes with the turf. When have you seen Garter snakes playing at the beach anyway? | ||
