Yeah, I had no intention of putting one out there without super heating. I have a friend who makes outdoor heat boxes for tortoises. I'd have to steal his idea. If it got really cold, I could always bring them inside. I'd really like to have them out for as long as possible. As far as predators go- I have a constant trap set on the opposite side of my property that keeps all predators away from my hatchling Redfoot tortoises. I'm not worried about that. Thanks. Brooks

P.S. Two days ago the water and waves were awesome!
