Thanks to both of you for the input! Yes, I made it myself, with a little help from my Dad and his power tools! (My husband and I don't have room for that much.)
I guess it didn't even occur to me that the reason they like the spot they stay in was because of the brightness of the light. I actually DO have a flourescent light between the other two (gotta have that UVB!), but I guess it needs to be longer, or brighter, or something. The only problem is, there isn't any more space between the other two lights, and that seems to be the combination needed to maintain the heat. Any suggestions?
Thank you for the suggestion regarding shielding the lights, too. My original plan called for the branches to be lower, but my son pointed out that they missed the tall branch from their old cage, so I moved it. I will definitly take care of that.
