If you spot clean daily already it is a great choice, but if you have a busy schedule and can only clean the cage once every few days it is not a good choice cause the poop stays on top. For people who already spot clean it is great. With a particle substrate you can spot clean but there is always the liquid that gets left behind and can be ingested by the dragons. Yuck!! This stays nice and clean with a spray bottle and paper towel, and is very sanitary as there is nothing left behind to soak into the substrate or get onto the food. I just soak them in a light bleach solution every two weeks or so rinse real well dry and reuse. What I like about it the most though is that the feeder insects can't get under it and hide especially if you leave a bit of overlap on the sides. Same ease as the repti carpets, but it's easier to clean, bugs can't get under, and poop does not soak in to infect feeder insects. It has like a non slip backing it's not adhesive but the texture of it really holds nice and flat to the bottom of the cages. I find it much easier and cleaner then sand, and sand changes, and much cleaner then the carpets. ----- Mystical Dragons webshots pictures
