ok first, yay for questions i can help with!



now, onto helping...easy fix, go to the pet store, find some natural long fiber sphagnum moss, you dont want the stuff thats spray painted green, i find zoo med brand just fine, soak it in some nice warm water, i usually let it soak for an hour or so...but ive been lazy and let it soak over night. find a suitable size rubbermaid or sterilite shoe box, cut, drill, soldering iron, or dremel a hole into it that your python can easily slip thru, put a nice fluffy layer of moss in the box, and then you dont have to worry too much about humidity...just keep the moss moist, change it now and then, bump the general humidity up at shedding time and youll get some darn good sheds.



or, you could just use a larger rubbermaid storage box (im a HUGE fan of rubbermaid and sterilite...i use them exclusivly). rubbermaids have the advantage of keeping more humidity in a well ventilated environment...and, if youre like me and you really have to see your animal, you can turn most rubbermaids into pretty nice display cages with minimal effort...i dont keep balls anymore...now i keep pythons that tend to prefer higher humidity...so not only do i house them in rubbermaids...i have moss filled rubbermaids in with them...which they use regularly, even with a 70% humidity....my papuan python and blood python both play in their moss boxes! hope my tips can be of help
