my veiled i cant even get my hand in his cage to clean it, and i usually do it when he is sleeping, so he wont get stressed - lately i was lucky enough to get him out with no fuss, but that was the first time in nearly 2 years taht he was handled! my best advice to get him out stress free is to cup feed him, and when he climbs into the cup to eat, slowly remove the cup, so that he is not disturbed - when i did that, there was no hissing, biting, or anything out of the ordinary - i would not recommend doing this every day, but once in a while it is ok to do - just be careful to remove the cup slowly and not to shake it, because that will stress him, and get him mad - you also want to be very careful when doing this, because you do not want your cham to be scared of his food cup - my cham often crawls in while eating, so i would recommend doing this, only when it is necessary - if you do not use a cup (i know when i use silkies once in a while that i just put them onto branches) try to use one anywayts - your cham may need a while to get used to it, but i know if it were not for a cup, my veiled would never eat - if you are worried about the size of your veiled, and the bite he can pack, dont worry - my veiled is early 2 feet long and he was very calm when i actully did get him out - hope this helped ----- Jason, Ichiro, Mika & Toki
