I agree with Wade and Paul. Frozen is a lot more convenient. Like Wade said if you have a supply on hand your snakes will get fed on your schedule, not the pet store's. There is nothing more frustrating than needing to feed and the store is out of what you need. I still throw them a live one every now and then just to remind them that they can hunt for their food. I really think they enjoy the hunt. It usually last about two seconds. As far as the mouse hurting the snake, as long as you watch the snake and don't leave in with the mouse to long it should be ok. If the snake isn't interested take it out. Never leave a snake with a live mouse over night. As far as Boas, They eat need alot bigger prey. I feed my Pythons and Boas rats, Now your talking a rodent that can do some damage. Always keep an eye on things and you should be OK Enjoy your knew baby and keep us posted. Jim
