Just to show an alternative to Flexwatt under the cage (the cage is standing up on its side in the pic with the underside facing you.)



The nice thing about heat cable is that you can make the loops closer together or farther apart to adjust the average heat on the floor of the cage. The configuration shown results in less intense heat to the cage floor compared to Flexwatt at the same temperature and produces a nice gentle warmth.



Another nice thing - you can make the heated area any shape or size you want. You're not stuck with 3", 4" or 11". You can also create a true gradient with tight loops on one end going to wider loops towards the other end.



I picked up more of these cables and just finished replacing the last of the Flexwatt underneath my cages with the heat cable. This stuff can be routed into racks easily.
