I have a girl that's a year & a couple months & she's like 600 or so grams. I havent had her on a pump schedule but i choose to fed her a small rat a week or a med rat every 2 weeks...& it's true most people have big weight because for breeding purposes pump feeding makes them ready to breed quicker.. saving some years to get back your investment. personally i say you should feed small rats once a week or week & a half. but that's just what i like. as far as feeding rat pups when i was at proexotics.com they stated that it's better to feed mice or rats that are older & have hair because their bones are more developed giving them greater calcium levels..they said rat pups are more equivalent to a stick of butter...more fat less good stuff..it sounds like it makes sense but it's your animal so do what you like..lol....keep it up they look great | ||
