If a uro is running away from your hand, just try gently stroking it for a while til it gets used to you. if it is wiggling when you pick it up, be careful to support it fully from beneath, preferably with both hands. sometimes it's necessary to immobilize the tail to avoid getting stabbed (but it's not that bad). almost every uro i've ever had, once it's on your lap, gets more comfortable.
