Posted by: Ophidiophile at Tue Jun 3 11:17:56 2003 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Ophidiophile ] The male will not eat the eggs however by leaving the male in with her, you greatly increase the chance that (1) she will be stressed out and deposit the eggs in a non-suitable location and/or (2) that the male will crawl over the eggs and damage them. If your snakes have bred and your female is gravid, you should get the male out of there. Provide her with a moist laying box (I use a 1:1 mixture by weight of milled peat/sand and water) and after her pre-lay shed, remove the water dish and only provide water briefly every day or two. | ||
