In my experience CB can mean either it was born in the US or more likely it was "ranched" or "farmed" and born in captivity-- that captivity is Africa.

You want to look for CBB or "born in the USA" (or Canada if that's where you are). I know Pro Exotics does only CBB babies now. They seem like very nice and respectable breeders, so you might try them for your first baby.

I'd like to personally thank you for looking for a baby bred for being a pet and not one that was concieved in the wild. All my babies are CBB and I feel like it's a good thing to support captive breeding rather than taking them from the wild. Just my opinion, but I feel so good making a good home for a snake who has been carefully bred and cared for by someone who cares! Good luck!
