I used to be heavily into arboreal boas and pythons and have just started getting into balls this year. I have been using my arboreal enclosures to house my balls until while my ball cages get completed. Not only do they love to climb and "hng" in the branches, but they feed in the trees too! I think that it promotes excircise, causing them to use muscles they normally wouldn't and helps them metabolize their food quicker, therefore feeding more often and growing more quickly. Makes sense though, most young boas and pythons start out life in low trees/bushes for self preservation to get off the ground and away from predators. I think I'm going to add braches to my new cages too!It can't hurt and helps with sheds too. Here is a pic of our breeder pastel I posted about a week age just hanging out. | ||
