Hi,



I bought two female tokay geckos a couple of weeks ago, and it doesn't seem like one of them is eating. She was small when I bought her (and quite thin), and it doesn't look like she's gaining any weight. She also gets pretty startled whenever I look in at them, so I've tried to put crickets in the cage and then leave the room so she'll come out and eat, but it looks like the big one just eats all of the crickets first.



I've tried to give her the first aid stuff they sell at stores (the powder that you mix into a paste), but she refuses to actually put any of it down. I put the end of a plastic syringe by her mouth, and whenever I tried to introduce some of the fluid, she would either bite the syringe without eating any, or put some in her mouth and then spit it out. She's getting really thin, and I'm getting worried.



There is no sign that the larger gecko is harrassing the smaller one (she has no scratches or bite marks), and I frequently see them both up on the walls of the cage hanging out together, so she doesn't hide all of the time. She really only seems to hide if I look in the cage.



My plan is to put the smaller one into her own cage for a while, try to get her to eat, and then reintroduce her into the cage with the larger gecko...any other ideas? Should I continue trying to feed her the first aid paste stuff, or just crickets, or put a little bit of everthing in and let her pick? Any help would be much appreciated (by me and her).
