My burms are not conditioned to seeing the door open and expecting food due to my training methods. But, I would recommend placing another layer of paper over your substrate and feed the snake on top of that. What substrate do you use? I have some of my really big burms on aspen and I have never had any problems; even with occasional accidental ingestion due to teh small size of the shredded wood. But, in the end, you must do what you feel is best and if this is what works for you, then no big deal. | ||
