I have two Abanja males that are three months old (now housed in seperate cages with a barrier between them so they can't see each other). Anyway, one (Lester) ate like crazy and has grown to double the size of the other (Shogo). I have been varying their diet to keep it interesting. Well, it's working for Lester but Shogo is a challenge.



So, for Shogo I am trying to shake it up to stimulate his appetite and growth. I figured the best course of action was to try to cup-feed him for some of the more tasty treats (i.e. silkworms and red wax worms). The problem is that Shogo doesn't touch the cup or the contents. It is a white cup (not see-through) and I placed the cup beneath one his favorite perches (actually, he doesn't really have a favorite perch yet in the new cage).



Should I just leave the cup where it is and hope he finds it eventually? Do you think the source of his curbed appetite is from getting his li'l behind kicked when he was rooming with Evil Lester? Is it normal for two identical aged chameleons to grow at such different rates? Finally, Shogo also has taken to sleeping hanging from the roof of his new cage which I find weird. I think he should sleep in the ficus tree...do I mess with him or just let him figure things out?
