Thats a pretty large cage, how big was your blood?Ceramic heat emitter supposently are supposed to produce better heat than any bulbs, but it you really want to get serious I would get a radient heat panel as I hear these are very efficient.I would personlly cut down your cage to no higher than 18" and 4 feet long, 2 feet wide, as this is all thats needed for an adult blood.I'm going to be running 11" wide heat tape 4 feet long underneath my melamine cages and eleminate my ceramic heat emitters.Then by stacking them this should help keeping the heat inside.Also you can use rubbermaid containers running heat tape under them or a under tank heater.Hope this helps a little.
