Venom allergies are rather rare except for people who work around significant quantities of dried venom (which is extremely allergenic through nasal or ocular exposure routes).



You should discuss this with your GP and have him prescribe you an epipen to keep by the cages for use in the event of a bite allergy (do NOT use it in the absense of allergic shock as inappropriate use can have devastating effects itself).
