Hi AJ, It sounds to me like it might just be a very normal precautionary defensive mechanism that young burms sometimes employ. This based on what I can discern from the information given in your post. You don't mention any fluid, mucus or gurgling and I have certainly seen young burms act "huffy", as I call it, frequently. Do these brief bursts of air occur mostly when you move suddenly or disturb her in any way? Does she seem a bit tense? If so it may indicate that she is just a bit nervous and is just trying to keep possible "danger" at bay.

She is getting fed every 5 days. The problem is when I have her out she will have little puffs of air that sounds like a hiss but is very short.
