120 VAC fans are available, though I don't know through computer stores. Probably. If not, www.alliedelec.com or www.digi-key.com have more fans than you could ever want.



Anyway, if all you have is a 12 VDC or 5 VDC fan, you can just get one of those inexpensive adapters/transformers from Radio Shack for the appropriate voltage - i.e. 110 VAC to 12 VDC. Make sure the current rating of the fan is much less than the supply can give. For example, if the fan says 300 mA at 12 VDC, then get an adapter that outputs up to at least 500 mA or more. It will prevent you from having to buy another adapter soon.
