You shouldn't fret about this because it doesn't really hurt the cage and it won't change its appearance or anything. Here is what I would do for the set-up. You want to plug the heat pad into the thermostat. Set teh thermastat for your desired temps and it will contol the heat pad. Put the light on a timer. The times that the light is on it will naturally raise the temps a little and when it is off it will drop. Use seperate thermometers on each end of the cage and adjust the thermostat accordingly to get the temps right. [ Hide Replies ]
