Yes, Peter ....you are correct. My very small baby female used to do this whenever I would pet her in the cage. Super cute, but it's a submissive act. Not a great thing, breeding season is in the spring, not in the winter. This could easily be territorial warnings as well....seeing as it's not breeding time.
