I wouldn't turn off the UTH either, could just be that your snake is an exhibitionist. lol



My snow goes through phases, sometimes she hides under the substrate all day, some days she's right on top for everyone to admire her. As long as your snake is eating and pooping and shedding fine, I'd say she's just comfortable and feels safe being in plain view. (which says a few good things about you as well)
