Is a Petco snake any good?

I would like to get a corn snake for my kids and me for x-mas. I have been reading up on this snake for some time. I know getting one from a good breeder is best but there is no breeder near me. And it is to cold to ship right now. The only place that has any snake is petco. Thay just got more in today and I like the look of the snakes. My question is are Petco snakes heathy? What are the nagatives of gettin a pet from petco. Thanks
