If you buy from Petco or anyplace like that, you just have to realize that it is up to you to recognize a healthy snake. It is up to you to learn how to care for it. It is up to you to know what kind of set up will be required.
There isn't necessarily anything wrong with their animals. The problem is that most of their employees are "clerks" and not reptile people. They won't be able to answer your questions accurately and if the snake has been in their care for a long time it may not be as healthy as it could be. ----- Wade's Weptiles & Wodents
