I let the snakes tell me when to handle and feed them. If they seem to be fairly calm and curious I will handle them daily. If they seem a little nervous and want to head straight for cover, I will give them a few days. I think the sooner you start to handle them the less stress they will have when you take them out to feed them.
I have had a couple of my hatchlings eat the day I got them.
Saturday is my feeding day and if I happen to get a snake on Saturday and it seems calm enough I will give a try. ----- Remember, my posts are MY opinion only.
