OK here's the scoop. I'm reading this off the label of Rep-Cal Herptivite with Beta Carotene. It says for us to mix the Herptivite with their Rep-Cal calcium w/d3. According to what it says, some beadlets of beta carotene could possibly be damaged by the calcium during manufacturing if they mixed it for us.
Herptivite contains no vitamin A. They use beta carotene, which is an anti-oxidant that is converted into vit. A in a regulated way so there is no threat of vit. A toxicity.
Now we know, and you were right. It did say something about it on the label, but I've been using this stuff for so long that I hadn't even bothered to read it again until now. I read ir years ago, but grabbing it, mixing it, & using it has become a daily habit.
Guess I need to go back & read more labels again of stuff I normally use. Changes in use or ingredients could have very well taken place without my knowledge.
