I e-mailed Lindsay Pike and he told me it's completely normal for ornate babies...it's called a "comb" and some ornates develop it and some don't...it can involve just the pre-anal pores (which is the case with my baby) or the femoral pores as well...Apparently it has nothing to do with sex; females can develop a comb as well...I will say that with my ornate the comb will wear down and practically disappear, then grow back...So sometimes he has quite a long set of "whistkers" and sometimes practically none...Hope this helps | ||
