Yep! and it's quite amazing sometimes, Dex (my bd) sometimes "sees" a bird or plane cross the sun and ducks or tries to run / hide when I am SURE he could not have seen it or had anyother reason to react.



also that eye seems to be part of how they set the "clock" that tells them how long the day is.



it also seems to need to get light to help them want to feed and other stuff...



this is also part of the advise of "approach from the front"

at least one or two times a week Dex will be strolling and I wind up coming up from the rear, he "sees" my shadow and goes into defense mode untill he sees it's just me.
