Don't take any of this the wrong way, but I don't know your expirence level with reptiles. From the sounds of things you have a lot of the things a croc lizard likes (plenty of places to hide). I have a butterfly agama that wouldn't eat for the first week I had it, but it was drinkng. I attribute this to tank was too small, temps were not on target, and I had know idea what I was doing (my first reptile). I moved him to a 29 gallon tank and got my temps right, and now the crix don't stand a chance. I've never worked with a croc lizard, but from what I've read about them, they love to hide.
