Incubator problems...

I had a Little Giant incubator, and it didn't do too well for me. My hatch rate was only 8.7%. I talked to the breeder that owns a pet store about 50 miles from hear and they gave me a setup for an incubator. They said that it would work the best because it gives them a 100% hatch rate. Does anyone use a homemade incubator? Thanks.
