Building two outdoor cages...

I am planning on building two large outdoor cages. One for adults and one for the babies. I am planning on having the larger cage measure 4' long, 2' wide, and 2' tall. I am planning for the smaller cage to be 3' long, 2' wide, 1.5' tall. The larrger cage is for my pair and the smaller cage is for about 30 babies that I plan on hatching this spring/summer. I want to cover the bottom with repti-carpet, would that be okay to use? I need to know about how much the 2 cages together would cost. Oh, yeah, I am planning on using small-hole wire mesh type stuff for the walls. Would their nails get stuck in the wire if they tried to climb up the wall? Thanks for any help you can give me.
