If you're shy about calling, and you're asking about a potential purchase, you can put that into the subject line of an email and he'll get to it more quickly than just one that says "a couple questions" or something. When I bought a feeding needle from him, I didn't want to call, so I sent an email with the subject "i want to buy supplies" and got a response in two days.
