though I only have the one snake, I feed him in his enclosure but I make it a habit of opening the cage and putting my hand in for things other than feeding so he doesn't associate my opening the cage as feeding time. When I do feed him, I dumb the thawed food item into a dish then place the dish into the cage. So far he has never come out to hunt while my hand was in the cage.
