the country, not only for export but also collecting in the wild by residents, but like all regulations there are exceptions to them through the proper channels and authorities.
That is for Australia's own safety due to problems in the past with animals that were brought into the country and caused problems.
My main point is that just because something comes to Germany, does not make it smuggled.. it is a leading herpetological area and one of the few places that leads the world outside of Australia in reptile husbandry and research, of Australia's native fauna.
I know that many reptiles have come into Germany and legally. They also have come into the US, its just knowing how and going through the proper steps ----- www.reptilerooms.com
