Hey, i'm pretty new to raising Leopard Geckos. So new, in fact, I have none of the supplies I need to raise them, nor do I have any Leopard Geckos. And that is why i've come here. This looks like a very good forum, so I have decided to post my questions here. I have only had experience taking care of tropical fish, and through some research into various reptiles I've decided that Leopard geckos (and ball pythons) would be a good reptile to start out with. Oh, and i'm sorry if i ask too many questions, I just want to make sure they don't die three weeks after I get them home.



Here are my questions:



1.) I'm planning on buying a 20-30 gallon tank to house two geckos. Is 20 gal. suitable enough?



2.) Now, i'm not sure what sex I should buy. 2 females? or a male and female? I'm not really into breeding at this point in time. I'd rather get the feel for taking care of adult geckos before I go on to take care of baby geckos. If I only have a male and female is there a good chance they'll mate?



3.) I have not found much info regarding wether or not these geckos need some kind of companionship other than myself. Would one gecko be fine on it's own? I'm just worried a lone female or male might not live out a long life without other companions. Do they develop "depression?"



4.) AND... is it a good idea to introduce two geckos into a new home at the same time, or would you recommend that I put one in the environment, then add another at a different time?



These are probably easy questions to answer, but information sites on leopard geckos are sometimes vage, not to mention inconsistent with one another. I'll be asking more questions soon. Thank You.
