They reproduce just as normal dragons do with the same hatch rates. This year will be the first breeding of translucent to translucent. I will hopefully breed that male to a hypo-trans female from one of my bloodlines. Fortunatly our bloodlines are completely unrelated and I'm soooooo looking forward to the results. I personally have not experienced any difference in growth or behavior from these or my hypo translucents as a whole,in fact my hypo- translucents seem to grow exceptionaly well and both of my adult females are huge. My first female dropped 31 fertile eggs her first time round and now averages 33 with a 95% hatch rate. Although Josh (dragon keeper for Sandfire) told me in his experience his animals didn't do as well in natural sunlight and seemed to grow a little slower over all. However his results could be related some what to husbandry. I am in no way saying he doesn't take care of his animals but this year was the first year either one of us actually reproduce these animals and I think one season of offspring is not enough to get accurate idea of the viability of this trait. We have taken great care in trying to spread the trait into as many different bloodlines as possible over the past two years. I personally have definate hets in 5 seperate bloodlines and will be able to breed unrelated hypo-trans hets this season(with thier cooperation of course). | ||
