I actually said to put slate pieces over sand, not coco husk (the cocohusk was for the background idea). But, i dont see why it shouldnt be done if you cover up all the spaces.



While they do say its digestable, imo, it isnt. Coco husk can clog inside the organs of leos when swallowed by large amounts. A small amount however, can pass through easily. But youd still want to cover up every nook and cranny over your substrate.
