When to handle & How to introduce new mali's

I've had my mali for two weeks now. He's eatting and doing fine and being a regular uromastyx. Is it safe for me to begin handling him now that he seems acclimated?

Second question, how do I go about introducing a few females to him? I plan on ordering a trio of females this weekend and once I get them settled in, I'd like to start housing them together. I'm used to monitors and I know things can get ugly when you introduce a pair, but how is it with uromastyx?
