Mali Breeding Age/Size

Just wondering, at what age/size are male mali's breedable? I'm pretty sure mines a yearling, maybe a little older. He's about 8" long and his pattern is showing, but no coloration yet, still in the tan phase. Would like to figure out how long I have before he's ready for the ladies.
