It would not be good at all. If the bedding needed disinfecting, it should be removed altogether. It is alright to use a mild disinfectant for spot cleaning but don't use a spray in the cage. Spray on a cloth then wipe on a dirty spot. However, with lose bedding, better to clean out the soiled area and any damp bedding in the area.



This is why shelf liner or plastic table cloth is so much easier to clean and keep disinfected.
